Join Rocky Mountain Rhythm at the Boulder Public Library for a fun, high-energy tap dance session that is specially designed for families of all ages! Dancers will clap, stomp, and shuffle their way through a playful introduction to tap dance, learn a few simple tap steps, and enjoy an exciting live performance. Along the way, dancers will discover a bit of tap dance history and see how rhythm and movement tell a story.
Perfect for wiggly feet and curious minds—come dance, learn, and have fun together at the library!

Youth Art Project: Longmont Water Fair
April 25th-May 16th, 2026
Anima Arts and the Longmont Water Fair are seeking youth artists for a spring project to be showcased at the 2026 Water Fair. Over four Saturday afternoons youth artists will create representations of native Colorado creek and riparian species using recycled 5 gallon water jugs.

Waacking with Mile High Waackers: Family Saturdays

Waacking is a fun, dramatic, and expressive dance from the disco era. Since its roots in 1970s LA clubs, it has grown into a global subculture, attracting people of various ages, gender identities, and backgrounds.
During this session, Mile High Waackers will offer a performance, a short lesson geared towards our youngest movers and learners, and opportunities to strut and prance together!

Join Mimi for free creative movement classes celebrating the way children experience the world; through curiosity, exploration, and play. Kids will leave with biomimcry concepts to build positive changes for humans and the Earth.

Ingredients for Meaningful Friendships for Tweens: A Creative Arts Workshop
Monday, June 29, 4 pm – 5 pm
Longmont Library
Macaroni and cheese, peanut better and chocolate, tomato and basil; great food combinations are like great friendships- they bring out the best in each other! In this arts and health workshop, tweens (3rd-5th graders) will brainstorm the “ingredients” it takes to develop and grow healthy friendships using theatre and movement games and visual art. No registration necessary, this program is designed for those entering 3rd through 5th grades only. Facilitated by Dandelion Arts Collective, a local arts and public health nonprofit, with specialized programs supporting youth mental health through creative practices.

Arts for Social Change: Longmont Museum Summer Camps
Are you passionate about equity, justice, breaking down barriers, and making positive change in the world? Explore how artists and young people can create social change using music, dance, creative writing and visual art as you collaborate on a project of your choosing. The camp will include guest teachers sharing their knowledge and experience as artists/activists. Scheduled guests include an Indigenous muralist, an environmental sculpture artist that uses upcycled materials, and dancer/choreographer with Global Water Dances.
Campers will create original art works through a medium of their choice.
Projects could include:
– Writing and drawing a zine or a comic highlighting a social injustice
– Creating a community mural celebrating cultural diversity
-Composing an original song or poem about disability rights
– Creating a kindness quilt spreading messages of inclusion and equity
-Making art from upcycled materials to highlight an environmental issue

Dreams- End of Summer Art Camp with Longmont Recreation
Join Mimi and friends for a fun end-of-summer camp where kids bring their ideas to life through creativity and self-expression. We’ll move, play, sew, paint, sculpt, and create stories through theatre, dance, mini-movies, comics, and more. Open to all identities and abilities.
