Moving Millions of Years: Creatures from the Age of Dinosaurs Still Alive Today

Join Dandelion Arts Collective for this action packed workshop where we’ll learn about animals that have survived millions of years. Through movement games, books, and art we’ll explore the habitats, diets, and adaptations that have helped these varying reptiles, aquatic life, birds, and insects thrive through cooperation and cleverness. Kids will leave with biomimcry concepts to build positive changes for humans and the Earth. 

Geared to elementary age students, with all welcome.

Ever wonder where water goes after you wash your hands or flush the toilet? This year, we’ll find out together! Through fun activities, art and cool experiments, you’ll trace water’s journey from your drain all the way through Colorado. 
Best of all? It’s completely FREE and the whole family is welcome. 

Leave with a deeper connection to your community, a better understanding of Colorado water and real, simple steps you can take to protect it for generations to come.

Breaking and Hip Hop with Mi Chantli! Join the local youth breaking crew for a performance and workshop celebrating Hip Hop culture and breakdancing. Created in the 1970s in New York City, this athletic dance celebrates individual style, peace, love, unity, and having fun! Learn about top and down rocks, power moves, freezes, and the music that built Hip Hop culture. Bring your family and your fresh moves to watch and learn with the Mi Chantli crew.

Ingredients for Meaningful Friendships for Tweens: A Creative Arts Workshop

Monday, June 29, 4 pm – 5 pm
Longmont Library
Macaroni and cheese, peanut better and chocolate, tomato and basil; great food combinations are like great friendships- they bring out the best in each other! In this arts and health workshop, tweens (3rd-5th graders) will brainstorm the “ingredients” it takes to develop and grow healthy friendships using theatre and movement games and visual art. No registration necessary, this program is designed for those entering 3rd through 5th grades only. Facilitated by Dandelion Arts Collective, a local arts and public health nonprofit, with specialized programs supporting youth mental health through creative practices.

Join Mimi for free creative movement classes celebrating how children experience the world; through curiosity, exploration, and play. Geared towards kids 1-3 years of age with a caregiver.

Grab your passports! We are going on an excursion to learn about different dances and music all over the world. Japan, New Zealand, NYC and more!

Dancer and Dandelion Arts Collective co-founder Mimi will teach attendees easy to learn dances as we are introduced to the history and practices of dance from different cities, countries, and continents. This program is geared towards our youngest movers and learners and their families.

Join Mimi and friends for a fun end-of-summer camp where kids bring their ideas to life through creativity and self-expression. We’ll move, play, sew, paint, sculpt, and create stories through theatre, dance, mini-movies, comics, and more. Open to all identities and abilities. Scholarships available: mimi@dandelionartscollective.org
